TKNZ.gg — Be a part of Esports History

Imagine the world in 5 years.

The metaverses are embraced.

Concerts are online.

Currencies are digital.

Metaverse presence is more important than physical presence.

Art is presented in virtual worlds and kept in NFT museums.

Gaming is (still) the most popular entertainment and pastime choice of people.

It is everywhere, in every aspect of life.

Esports are by far the most popular and participated competitive events in the world.

Every business and every brand are relying on gamers and esports fans as some of their most important customers.

Which are the biggest events of the year? The Super Bowl? The Champions League final?
Nah. It’s the esports finals, watched live by hundreds of millions.

Where are the memories from the most important moments in gaming and esports history?

In TKNZ.gg, the Esports NFT Hall of Fame.

We see this future as clear as day. And have started laying the foundations for it together with many other fantastic, world-building projects that will be the ecosystem of tomorrow. Here’s what we are doing!

NFT Hall of Fame

NFT (Non-fungible tokens) technology has opened up a myriad of possibilities for creators and consumers to interact.

Some people still view NFTs as nothing more than JPEG images with a price tag. They couldn’t be more wrong. It’s like saying a computer is nothing more than a box with buttons.

NFTs are receipts of ownership. And as such they can enable many different applications.

Yes, at the most fundamental level they indicate ownership of an underlying asset (or assets since one NFT can represent multiple things).

But that is not nearly all.

  • They can authenticate their owner’s access to exclusive content, spaces, interactions, capabilities, events, etc. Like a ticket.
  • They can unlock “bonus” features on other platforms and channels. Like a code.
  • They can signify a proof of achievement or participation. Like a trophy.
  • They can provide “perks” to their owner within the NFT’s ecosystem. Like a membership.
TKNZ.gg NFT use cases

And this is not all an NFT can do. Not even close.

We are building TKNZ.gg to enable gamers and esports fans to take advantage of the many possibilities this technology creates.

We want the esports organizations and creators of the world to use them to forge deeper and lasting connections with their community.

This is not merchandise. This is content. This is skill. This is art. This is the essence of what makes esports great.

And great things must be preserved and put on display. In The Hall of Fame of the Gaming and Esports History. TKNZ.gg

Doing things the right way

There can be a fine line between good business and bad business. We don’t want to get even close to it.

You and us, together, are building our future in this world. A world that we’ll live in and our children will live in. We do not want to endanger it. On the contrary, want to make it more beautiful, more diverse, and more sustainable.

It is true that some blockchains have a negative impact on our environment. But not all blockchains are made equal.

The TKNZ.gg blockchain (Flow) is a new generation blockchain that is (almost) infinitely more energy efficient than some of the traditional blockchains, like Bitcoin. And we’re constantly working on improving our technology solutions stack to make this even better.

We care about many things. Not just the sustainability of our environment but also the sustainability of the TKNZ.gg ecosystem.

The entire TKNZ team is comprised of gamers who have, at times, spent their last money on that newly released game title, or to support their favorite creator. And we still do it.

TKNZ.gg is a platform that welcomes everyone, regardless of their background, status or means.

Of course, we will not accept any misbehavior, criminal activity or endangerment of our community.

We consider ourselves The Guardians. It is our duty to protect it, its exhibits and its members.

The best content usually comes from creators being their true selves. You know what we mean, we all know authenticity when we see it.

We work hard to ensure the TKNZ NFTs not only preserve that authenticity but they enhance the bond between fan and creator, across many levels and platforms. Digital collectibles can have that superpower, if done right.

Our aim is to bring the best of the gaming and esports world to the fans while supporting the creators and their craft. The TKNZ business model is to share revenues with our partners (the esports organizations and creators) so they can continue doing what makes them great, and we strive to find ways to make you a part of that journey.

A new era of digital collectibles and memorabilia

What is being a fan really?

  • Is it following your favorite player, team or creator?
  • Is it reading and watching everything about them?
  • Is it knowing all the stats and trivia?
  • Is it supporting them however you can?
  • Is it enjoying their content in all its forms?

Yes. And more.

Being a fan means having that special connection that makes you want to experience more, to see your favorites succeed and share the highs and lows alongside them.

It’s also about surrounding yourself with little tokens and reminders of your passion. To us, fans, there is a great sense of fulfillment that comes from expanding our fandom.

Some people keep old event tickets. Some have a folder with screenshots from favorite streams and chats. Almost every fan has a t-shirt or a hoodie of their fandom. These are all examples of everyday objects with sentimental value that is difficult to explain. We all fill our lives with such memorabilia in one way or another.

Gaming and esports evoke so much emotion and sentimental value that it is hard to believe we haven’t seen true digital collectibles yet. That’s mostly because physical collectibles do not work very well for fans who enjoy digital content in a digital environment, communicate and engage with their communities online and have digital personas.

Luckily, NFTs seem tailor-made for this, and work incredibly well as digital collectibles.

  • They are digitally native.
  • They indicate scarcity with known, pre-set limited edition sizes.
  • They form sets and collections that can be completed.
  • They are all recorded and tracked on the blockchain, alongside every transaction and change of ownership.
  • Their owners can choose to show their real or online identity
  • NFTs are easily shared and bragged about on social media, chats, etc.
  • They are protected from “wear and tear” as long as the blockchain exists. (And they can theoretically exist forever.)
  • They can be enjoyed offline.
TKNZ.gg NFTs as digital collectibles

And they are not done evolving. NFT technology and applications continue being developed every day by countless brilliant teams around the world.

At TKNZ.gg we call our NFT collectibles “cards”. They come in three tiers: Rare, Epic and Legendary.

TKNZ.gg cards

Just like trading cards in real life, you can get TKNZ cards in packs.

TKNZ.gg pack

Then you can build your collections.
Share them with friends and peers.
Trade them with others.
Or show them off in RL.

We are planning to make our NFTs usable in many ways, formats and contexts, including within the most popular content platforms, as well as in virtual worlds and metaverses.
We will communicate more details about our features roadmap in the coming weeks.

The future is full of possibilities.

Come and join us on our mission to build The Gaming and Esports Hall of Fame!
